Partner of the Year 2018

Pinnacle currently work with the likes of Total, Swire Oilfield Services, GDI, Imrandd and Jamieson & Carry, and were recently awarded ‘Partner of the Year’ due to the time, advice and guidance that was received during the Pioneers’ time on the programme from Managing Director, Kenny Steele and his team. Not only was the technical wisdom of huge advantage to the Pioneers, but the experience in the industry as well as the advice on growing and scaling a business was invaluable.

At the end of the 16-week programme, the TechX Pioneer companies were invited to make nominations for the Mentor and Partner of the Year Awards, with the winners being announced at the graduation ceremony which took place in Aberdeen last month to recognise the fantastic progress of the Pioneers.

The Oil & Gas Technology Centre’s TechX Pioneer Programme is a unique technology accelerator and incubator helping ambitious firms take their solutions to the oil and gas market – faster. It is specifically designed to develop companies and technologies that can help unlock the full potential of the UK Continental Shelf.

Speaking of the award win, Kenny Steele, Managing Director and Founder of Pinnacle said:

"Our team was instrumental in helping deliver tailored solutions to the Pioneers and truly went above and beyond. I couldn’t be prouder of their work and I am delighted to see the Pioneers move on to TechX Plus and I wish them all the best.”

David Millar, Technology Accelerator Director at The Oil & Gas Technology Centre said:

“We’re delighted to have completed this first TechX Pioneers Programme and see the fantastic progress made by these 10 young companies in just a few short months. The engagement from industry has been amazing and the support of our mentors and partners has been outstanding.

“Kenny and the team at Pinnacle provided great support and guidance to the 10 Pioneers, really going above and beyond to support them throughout the 16 weeks of the TechX programme.”

Paul Wheelhouse, Scottish Government Minister for Energy said:

“I was delighted to attend the TechX Graduation Ceremony last week and meet with the inspiring group of Pioneers who graduated through the ground-breaking accelerator programme. It is through innovative and dynamic Pioneers and Partner SMEs such as the programme’s Partner of the Year, Pinnacle that will have an impact on costs and efficiencies across the energy sector and, having tried out Pinnacle’s virtual reality technology, I can see the power it can have in helping in areas such as asset management offshore and health and safety.

“Innovation remains crucial to the oil and gas sector for maximising economic recovery and sustainably reducing costs, driving exports and sales within the supply chain, and ultimately securing the long-term sustainability of the Sector in Scotland and the UK.”

Graham Gaston, CEO at Sensalytx, and TechX Pioneer said:

“The candid and practical help that Kenny and his team gave me was instrumental in helping me bring our vision to life. The advice offered over the last 16 weeks will help me quickly springboard forward and I genuinely look forward to working with them as part of the TechX plus programme over the next 12 months. I would strongly recommend to anyone, meeting with the Pinnacle team, to help design, thoroughly test and speedily deliver, your digital transformation project.”
